The The St. Martin Promoting Young Ambassadors Foundation’s first Venture was in 2004 when the foundation was given the license to hold the first ever Ms. St. Martin Hibiscus Pageant, a pageant which was to select a winner to represent St. Martin in the Miss Caraibes Hibiscus pageant.
The pageant saw five girls compete for the title of Ms. St. Martin Hibiscus.
Ms. Shadira David was crowned the first ever Ms. Saint Martin Hibiscus queen and she went on to represent St. Martin in the Miss Caraibes Hibiscus pageant which was held later that year.
The Ms. St. Martin Hibiscus pageant was recorded as one of the best pageants ever held in St. Martin as it hosted international judges such as the licensee holder at that time of the Ms. Curacao Universe pageant, Ms. Sheida Wever and the reigning Ms. Trinidad Universe at that time who was 4th runner up in the Ms. Universe pageant in 2004, Ms. Danielle Jones. The pageant also had the Soca Queen of the Caribbean perform Ms. Destra Garcia better known as “DESTRA” and she gave a show never to be forgotten.
